This site is a group overnight tent camping area that can accommodate up to 75 people throughout its nine individual family picnic sites. The facility can be reserved as a whole. If not reserved, the individual sites can be used on a first-come, first-serve basis for day use picnics. https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232111.

Sites are equipped with picnic tables and grills. Vault toilets, drinking water and trash collection are provided. A large, paved parking area can accommodate up to 17 vehicles. Footpaths within the site are also paved.

Lamoille Creek runs just outside the picnic area and is a popular stream among fly-fishermen. The creek contains brook and wild rainbow trout.

Lamoille Canyon offers numerous hiking and horseback riding trails that lead to alpine lakes and vistas. The canyon road is popular for scenic driving and road biking. The campground is situated at an elevation of 8,000 feet, high in Lamoille Canyon, within the beautiful Ruby Mountains. The area is a desert island brimming with wildlife, sparkling lakes and streams, wildflower-filled meadows, and jagged peaks.

This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once on-site, follow the posted instructions. You will need to download the free Recreation.gov mobile app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service: https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app.

Please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to arrival. Once purchased please write down confirmation number on provided envelope and post in vehicle dashboard.

This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.

America the Beautiful Passes: Senior, Access, Military, Gold Star, Veteran, and Golden Age Senior/Access are accepted at this site. These passes cover fees for the passholder and up to three adults per vehicle.

Passes are non-transferrable between operators, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
