Black Warrior and Tombigbee Lakes

Burchfield Branch Park is located on Holt Lake of the Black Warrior River northeast of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The park offers various amenities along with access to the water and opportunities to view wildlife. Burchfield Branch provides a convenient camping spot for families, boaters, swimmers, picnickers, and sightseers. Please review park conditions prior to your trip to ensure there are no closures.

All visitors at Burchfield Branch are required to pay an use fee. Please be prepared to show your hard copy pass or digital pass on your mobile device.

Print out or download the pass on your mobile device in advance of your visit. Connectivity may be limited, and the pass must be available to show at all times when visiting Burchfield Branch.

A printed copy of this pass is also required for your vehicle. Fold the printed pass on the dotted line and display it on the dashboard, with the QR code visible, at all times during your visit.

Operators of motorcycles and open-top vehicles must carry this pass on their person. Passes should not be left on an unattended motorcycle.

The gatehouse helps collect fees, so please be prepared to show your pass to the volunteer in the gatehouse.

Long lines for entrance to Burchfield Branch are common during peak season, on holidays, and during the summer months, and purchasing this pass does NOT provide special or faster entry into the park.

Visitors may trade a paper Annual Pass for the plastic hang tag to be used in a private vehicle. Please visit the gatehouse/recourse office/ or talk to a park ranger during your visit for details.

Passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced
