Alerts and Important Information
Site G01 is located in the upper part of the campground next to the parking area.
Site G02 is located in the lower section of the campground and has more shoreline.
Check-in and check-out times are 12 noon.
Tent camping only. Self-contained units (recreational vehicles, cab-over campers, trailers, etc.)
are not allowed and must use nearby Brandy Creek RV Campground for an additional fee.
Vehicles parked any place other than Dry Creek Group Campground parking area are required
to display a $5 day use pass. Weekly use pass costs $10, annual pass costs $25. Golden Age,
Access, and Senior passes accepted in lieu of park use pass.
Vehicles prohibited in tent area except to load and unload equipment. All vehicles must be
removed to gravel parking lot.
Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 6 am. Noises, such as loud voices or music, are prohibited
after 10 pm. Visitors who are not registered at the campsite must leave after 10 pm.
Generators are not allowed.
Portable showers are prohibited. Cold outdoor showers are available at Brandy Creek Beach.
Hot showers available at Oak Bottom Campground for a fee.
Pets must be kept in a cage or on a leash at all times. Pets may not be left unattended.
A gate controls access to the area. Close the gate behind you as you enter and leave the area.
Do not lock the gate, as only a park employee can open it.
Bring your own firewood. Firewood is very limited due to heavy use of the area.
Fires are only allowed in the cement pits.
Boats may be launched at Brandy Creek Marina and moored along your site at Dry Creek.
No firearms or fireworks.
Encounters with black bears are fairly frequent. All food, beverage containers, toiletries, and
cooking and eating utensils must be stored inside a bear-proof storage locker or out of sight
in your vehicle unless they are in immediate use.
Personal watercraft is prohibited on Whiskeytown Lake. Ban includes brand names such
as Jetskis, Seadoos, and Wave Runners.

From 1-5, take state route 299 west, go west
Through city of Redding and continue approximately 8 miles west. Turn at visitor center onto Kennedy memorial drive (signs indicate brandy creek/Clair a. Hill Whiskeytown Dam). Go 1 mile to park headquarters continue another 1 mile and cross Whiskeytown Dam, continue approximately 4 miles west where pavement ends at access to dry creek group campground.
