Campground access is via paved and dirt road. Last six miles is narrow, rough and dusty dirt road.
Tent campsite only
Please bring our own drinking water
Bears may frequent area; all food MUST be kept in approved containers.
No motor boats permitted on the lake.

Alerts and Important Information

WARNING: DURING THE 2010 SUMMER SEASON ROAD CONSTRUCTION WILL TAKE PLACE ON 11 MILES OF THE MAIN PARK ROAD FROM MANZANITA LAKE SOUTH TO DERSCH MEADOWS, EXPECT TRAFFIC DELAYS.

This campground is located in the South East corner of the park and is approximately an hour drive away from the main park road. Campers must have a valid entrance permit/pass before camping. An entrance fee of $10.00 per vehicle will be collected at the campground.

From the Red Bluff (I.5), drive east on state HWY 36 approximately 70 miles to Chester. Turn left at fire station immediately after crossing Feather River Bridge (watch for National Park Service sign on right) continue approximately 13 miles follow signs to Juniper Lake Campground and Group Campsite Area.
