JULIAN PRICE (BLUE RIDGE PKWY) (NC), Blue Ridge Parkway, NC

Description

Julian Price Park Campground is located on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway near Boone and Blowing Rock NC. The campground is adjacent to Price Lake. Fishing and boating are allowed. Fishing requires a state license and no motor boats are permitted. Canoe and rowboat rental is available from Memorial Day - Labor Day, and on weekends in early May, late September and the month of October. Hiking trails and trailheads are located within the campground.

  • 21 consecutive days camping in this campground.
  • Reservations must be made 2 days in advance.
  • Camping fee is $19 per night.
  • There are no electricity/water/sewer hookups at this campground.
  • All equipment must fit on the site pad.
  • Vehicles park in developed areas only.
  • Pets are allowed in Park. Pets must be on leash at all times.
  • Horses not allowed.
  • Reservations are taken from May 24, 2009 through October 18,2009. First come-first served sites are also available at this campground.
  • Campground open season is normally from mid-May until end of October.

    • Quarantine Notice: Firewood from states of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Missouri, Ohio, Ontario, Pennsylvania, Quebec, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin can not be brought into the national park. The USDA has quarantined firewood from these states to prevent the spread of highly destructive insects that may be living in the wood.
