ALLRED FLATS GROUP PICNIC SITE (WY), BRIDGER-TETON NF - FS, WY

Description

This group picnic site is located approximately 21 miles from Afton, WY, in the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
The site is adjacent to a small mountain stream which forms the west edge of t he Allred Flats Campground developed area. It is located just one-half mile off the paved highway.
The maximum capacity for the site is 50 people. Up to ten vehicles can be parked at the site.
Hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking opportunities are numerous on several trails in the area. Other nearby areas of interest includes Salt Pass and Smiths Fork road.

Alerts and Important Information

Allred Flats Group Picnic site can be reserved anytime after January 1st.
  • Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance.
  • This picnic site can be reserved up to 6 months in advance.
  • This site is open generally from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.
  • The maximum capacity for this site is 50 people and 10 vehicles.
  • Out-of-state horse must have a current Coggins test.
  • Hay brought in must be certified weed free.
  • Off-highway vehicles are allowed only on designated roads and trails. A free map of designated roads and trails can be obtained from the District Office.
  • Off-highway vehicles are not allowed inside the campground
  • Please bring garbage bags. Garbage cans are available on site.
  • There is a maximum stay limit of 1 days.
  • Check-in is at 8 am, check-out is 10 pm.
  • There is no electricity and no electrical outlets at this site.

Fees (Peak season):
1-25 people = $25/day
26-50 people = $50/day

From Afton, WY, take HWY 89 south approximately 21 miles over Salt Pass and partly back down through Salt Creek Canyon. A brown highway recreation sign will identify the turn-off for Allred Flats Campground. The group picnic area is on the left side of the road as you enter the developed area, just before the entry kiosk.
