Alaska cabin reservations can only be changed once. If you need to modify your reservation a second time,it must be cancelled and then re-booked by calling 1-877-444-6777.*Effective November 17, 2003 to assure fairness for everyone.* Open fires must be in firering, collect only dead/down wood. Cabin is primitive, no ammenities except oil stove and outhouse. Bring #1 stove oil for the oil stove. Bring drinking water. Local water must be boiled or treated for drinking may not be readily available. Directions: 55 miles SE of Yakutat, near Alsek River. Cabin is North of Alsek River. Access by wheeled plane only, 1800'airstrip

Site

Proximity: 5 miles south to East Alsek River Cabin, available through NPS, (907)784-3295. Flat terrain, very wet. Open muskeg, patches of cottonwood, alder and willow. Moose, brown bear, black bear, sandhill cranes in spring and fall Need hipboots for hiking. Good Hunting, cabin is near Alsek River. Meatshed.
