From Silver Lake Ranger District office, go 0.25 miles west on Highway 31, and turn left on County Road 4-11. This road turns into Forest Road 27. Take Forest Road 27 for 9 miles, then turn right on Forest Road 2804. Go 2.5 miles to Forest Road 7645, turn left and travel 5 miles to Forest Road 036. Turn left and go approximately 2.3 miles to Forest Road 038. Turn right and drive another 0.6 miles to the trailhead.
