Jackson River Canoe Access Points

Public Access Point #1: Is just below the dam and is managed by the Corp. of Engineers. A permit is required to use this point and can be obtained at the Corp’s office at the Lake. A picture ID is required and the office is open 7 days a week, 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
Johnson Springs Access Point #2: Located off State Route 638.
Jack’s Island Access Point #3: Is not developed, but is considered a stopping point. There is no parking available at the point. This access point is located off State Route 666 on an island that is in the middle of the Jackson River.
Smith Bridge Access Point #4: Located off of State Route 687, on Smith Bridge Road. This access has been modified with a fishing pier and is accessible to the physically challenged.
Indian Draft Access Point #5: Located also off State Route 687.
Petticoat Junction Access Point #6: Located off State Route 687. This is the last access point serviced by the Forest Service.
