ALL (1) OverviewLocated at Hartwell Lake, one of the southeast's largest and most popular public recreation areas, Broyles is a summer day-use area that offers and ideal setting for a party, barbecue or simply a day of water activities with the family.Broyles is on the South Carolina side of the lake and boasts sweeping views of the nearly 56,000 surface acres comprising Hartwell Lake. Natural Features:Hartwell Lake is a man-made lake bordering Georgia and South Carolina on the Savannah, Tugaloo and Seneca Rivers. The dam and lake area boasts nine campgrounds and 15 day-use facilities that are operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Recreation:Boating and water sports top the list of popular activities. A boat ramp is provided for easy lake access. Facilities:Broyles offers multiple picnic areas, complete with shelters, flush toilets and playgrounds. Parking is available on-site.
