ALL (24) OverviewCatavee Campground is located on Huntington Lake near the Kaiser Wilderness. This campground offers convenient access to all the activities and events available around Huntington Lake, including the annual sailboat regatta.The campground is forested and provides good privacy at several of the sites. A few sites overlook Bear Creek, while others offer lake views. Natural Features:The Sierra National Forest, located on the western slope of the central Sierra Nevada, is known for its spectacular mountain scenery and abundant natural resources. Recreation:There are many hiking trails in the area, including Rancheria Falls, Indian Pools and Black Point. Hikers and horseback riders can access the 12-mile Kaiser Loop Trail, which connects to a network of trails within the Kaiser Wilderness. Facilities:This is a more modern campground with paved roads and paved parking spurs that can accommodate RVs up to 30 feet. Each site has a picnic table, grill and fire ring. Nearby Attractions:The Billy Creek Guard Station Museum is adjacent to the campground. It provides historical overviews on Huntington Lake, Native Americans and the Forest Service.
