CLEAR SPRING (TX), WRIGHT PATMAN DAM, TX

Description

The Clear Springs Campground is located at Wright Patnam Lake. The park is located on a 30,000 surface acre man made lake, within the piney woods of northeast Texas. In close proximity to Texarkana, the area offers a variety of activities such as shopping, movies, restaurants, and local historical sites. Shreveport, LA has river boat gambling, horse races, and numerous festivals. During the winter, many birds migrate to the lake such as Bald Eagles, Pelicans, various ducks and others. There are some poisonous snakes in the area. The campground offers full services to campers featuring a group camping area with showers and pavilion. The campground is located in a southern pine forest setting overlooking the lake.

* Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. * Clear Springs is open year round. A campsite consists of hard surface parking pad, water and electric hookups, picnic table, barbecue grill, utility table, and trash receptacle. A non-electric section is provided in the camp. Two restrooms are conveniently located in the camp area. Each provides showers and lavatories. There is also a shelter, playground and trailer dump station available. Campground will be closed and locked 9pm - 9am for Mar 1 - Sep 30. Campground will be closed and locked 7pm - 9am for Oct 1 - Feb 28. The combination for the lock will be given to visitors at check-in.
