ALL (1) OverviewCowpuncher Guard Station is located about 20 miles northeast of Escalante, Utah, in a meadow surrounded by pines and aspens. A small trout stream runs in front of the cabin. Summer days are warm and nights are cool. Popular activities include stream fishing, hiking, mountain biking, and big game hunting.This rustic two-room cabin sleeps four people comfortably on one double bed and one set of bunk beds with mattresses. No linens or bedding are provided. A couch, propane cook range, propane refrigerator, hot water heater, wood cook stove, lanterns, and indoor shower are provided. An outhouse is located just down a trail from the cabin. Some dishes, pots and pans are provided. Activities and Amenities

Drive 14 miles to the junction of Forest Roads 154 and 153. Continue on FR153 for 4.5 miles. Turn left on FR145 toward Blue Spruce Campground. Travel 0.7 miles to Cowpuncher Gate.
