FIREWOOD ALERT!: The Corps of Engineers is prohibiting firewood in our recreation areas if brought from out of the State of Iowa. This is to help prevent the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer. When camping or picnicking at Coralville Lake, purchase your firewood from a local vendor. DAM COMPLEX (IA), CORALVILLE LAKE, IADescriptionThe Dam Complex is a part of the Coralville Lake Project and is comprised of five campgrounds. The campgrounds are Cottonwood, Linder Point, Tailwater East, Tailwater West and West Overlook. The area offers lake and river fishing, camping, boating, swimming and water skiing. There are several public golf courses just a short drive from the Dam Complex. The environment is wooded. Coralville Lake is located very close to Iowa City/ Coralville which boasts the largest mall in Iowa. A visit to the Dam Complex puts you in an ideal location to enjoy the river and many activities.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationReservations must be made at least 2 days in advance.
Camping equipment is limited to one wheeled unit plus one tent per site
or two tents per site. Use of the campsite is limited to your immediate
family or no more than six unrelated persons. All equipment must fit on
the campsite. Extra vehicles may park in designated parking areas
only.
Tailwater East campsites E7, E10, E12, E13, E14, E15, E16, E17,
E18 and E19 are near the bank that slopes down to the Iowa River.
