DAM SITE RIVER (BEAVER LAKE) (AR), BEAVER LAKE, ARDescriptionDam Site River Campground is located below Beaver Dam and Lake on the White River just northwest of Eureka Springs, AR. The White River provides optimum trout fishing habitat and smooth water for a scenic canoe/kayak float trip. Above the dam, the lake provides an excellent opportunity for visitors to camp, fish, hike, swim, and enjoy nature's wondrous beauty. The Dam Site River Campground offers 59 campsites with electric hookups and water faucets throughout the park. Additional amenities include hot showers, a dump station, hiking trails, boat ramps, playgrounds, a swimming area, and public telephones. This campground is 15 minutes away from Eureka Springs. All 59 campsites are reservable sites.Park attendants are on duty. See "Booth Hours" sign located at gatehouse. No secure gates at this campground. Day use facilities for the Dam Site area are located less than 1-mile from Dam Site RIVER Park at Dam Site LAKE Park. Dam Site LAKE Park is located on the lake side of Beaver Dam. Day use facilities include a swim beach, picnic canopies, and a group shelter. The group shelter is reserveable from April 1 - October 31. Reservations can be made by calling the Dam Site LAKE Park booth at 479-253-5828 or the Beaver Lake Project Office at 479-636-1210. The Dam Site LAKE group shelter is NOT reserveable through the NRRS. Getting There:Dam Site River (Beaver Lake) (AR)181 DAM SITE RIVER Eureka Springs AR 72631 GPS Info. (Latitude, Longitude): 36.42194, -93.84583 From Eureka Springs, AR, follow US 62 W for 2.5 mi to SR 187. Travel on From Eureka Springs, travel west on US Hwy 62 for 4.3 miles. Turn left SR 187 S for 6 mi. Follow signs into the campground. on State Hwy 187 for 2.5 miles. Go across the dam and turn right on the first road. From Gateway, travel east on US Hwy 62 for approximately 6 miles, turn right on State Hwy 187 for 2.5 miles. Look for the entrance to the park on the left.
