Description

The Greenbelt campground is known for its safety, affordability, peaceful surroundings in an urban setting, and National Park Service hospitality.

The campground is located in suburban Maryland just ten miles from Washington, D.C.. We are 1.5 miles to the Washington D.C. Metro Rapid Transit System. There are major shopping centers within 1/2 mile of the park.

There are ten miles of hiking trails The Sweetgum Picnic area, located about one and a halk miles from the campground, has playground equipment and public picnic tables.

Alerts and Important Information

There are no water or electrical hookups. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am There are two vehicles and three tents allowed per site. There is a serious tick issue in the park so please use precautions and use tick repellant. The campground is open all year round and reservations are available on this reservation system from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. Please call the park at 301-344-3944 for more information. The Ranger Station hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.. After 4:00 p.m. , please self register. Credit cards are not accepted onsite at the campground. We only accept cash or cheque.

From I -95/495 (capital beltway), take Exit 23 Kenilworth Avenue south (Route 201) to Greenbelt Road East (Route 193). The park entrance is a quarter mile down Greenbelt Road on the right. The park address is 6565 Greenbelt Road.
