HICKORY CREEK (TX), LEWISVILLE LAKE, TX

Description

Hickory Creek is located on the southwestern portion of Lewisville Lake in north central Texas, just northwest of Dallas. Visitors to Lewisville Lake enjoy picnicking, swimming, boating, fishing, camping, and relaxing in the great outdoors.

The campground has 134 sites, including 10 primitive sites. Amenities include hot showers, a dump station, a boat launch, a a playground, and public telephones. Attendants are on duty from 6 am to 10 pm daily. Several public golf courses are located nearby.

Alerts and Important Information

This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends and a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends.
This campground has first-come, first-serve sites.
Visitors are welcome but must depart by 10pm.
Off-road vehicles are prohibited in the park.
Vehicles must remain on pavement at all times.
Campsites are $10-$20 per night.
Drive thrus are not allowed in the campground between Easter and Labor day on weekends and holidays.

I-35-E, go north from Dallas, take Exit 457B and follow service road to the overpass leading to the south bound access service road. (From Denton Exit 458, Swisher Road/FM 2181.) Follow south bound access road to Turbeville Road and turn right to Point Vista Road and turn left. Go south approximately 1 mile to the park entrance gate and turn right.
