HIDDEN VIEW (CA), HENSLEY LAKE, CA

Description

Hidden View is located at Hensley Lake in the foothills of Central California just 50 mi. north of Fresno, CA. The area, which was once home to the Miwok and Yokut Native Americans, ranchers, and farmers, now offers many recreation opportunities for outdoor enjoyment. Hidden View campground provides 55 campsites with some electric hookups. It is located within walking distance to the lake, picnic and boat launch. A public phone is available. There is also an amphitheater in the campground with evening shows on Friday and Saturday nights, and one hiking trail in the vicinity.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 3 day in advance. This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. The campground is open year round and sites are 16.00 dollars for a non-electric site, 22.00 dollars for an electric site and 65.00 dollars for the group campsites. For more information, please call (559) 673-5151. The campground gate will close at 10:00 pm and open at 6:00 am for the period of President's day weekend and ending September 30th. The campground gate's winter hours will be closing at 8:00 pm and opening at 6:00 am starting October 1st to the Thursday prior to the President's day weekend.

***From SR 99 south of Fresno; SR 41 north 21 miles to SR 145, west 8.4 miles to Road 33, north 1.1 mile to Road 400, right 7 miles to Road 603, west 1 mile to 407, right 1.7 miles to the park. ***From SR 99 south of Madera; SR 145 1/2 mile to Yosemite Ave, right on SR 145 northeast 4.5 miles to Island Drive, go left then a quick right at the stop, Road 400 10.7 miles to Road 603, west 1 mile to Road 407, right 1.7 miles to the park. ***From SR 99 north of Chowchilla; SR 233 (Robertson Blvd.) exit, right to Ave 26 (Raymond) at stop east on Ave 26 13 miles to Road 29, south 1/2 mile to Road 603, east on 603, 2.2 miles to stop sign cross go 5 miles on 603 to Road 407, 7.5 miles , left 1.7 miles to the park.
