Overview

Keller Ferry Group Campground, along Lake Roosevelt, is perfect for large families and groups of boaters or fisherman. The 130-mile lake is a feature of the Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. Keller Ferry is part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area, named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt and managed by the National Park Service.

Campers have the convenience of a swimming beach within a short walk of the campsites, a boat ramp within the facility and plenty of space to sit back and soak up the summer sun or relax during the cooler days of spring and fall.

Natural Features:

The campground is fairly level with an open scrubland landscape and few trees. The lake has comfortable temperatures for swimming during summer, though much of the water originates from glaciers and snow in the cold, high Canadian Rockies.

The lake area has abundant wildlife, including eagles and osprey. Dozens of species of fish inhabit the lake.

Recreation:

This facility supports an array of recreational activities including boating, water skiing, swimming and fishing for trout, walleye, bass and more. Hunting is also popular in the surrounding forests.

Facilities:

Two group sites area available within the Keller Ferry Campground. Each can hold up to 25 people. The facility is open year-round. In winter, the water is turned off but the pit toilets remain open.
