Attention: As of April 18, 2014, the Coconino National Forest is in STAGE 1 fire restrictions. For our renters this means that there will be absolutely NO FIRES outside the cabins and this includes:

  • No open flame charcoal or wood BBQ grill - propane is ok
  • No use of the fire pit - monitored and strictly enforced
  • No smoking cigarettes outside or in the cabin - you may smoke inside your vehicle
  • Fires are permitted inside the cabin's wood stove - please consider strong evening winds and monitor the chimney for sparks

  • EXTREME fire danger means that any little hot ash, spark or flame will ignite grasses and or dry plant material. Parking over high grass can also lead to fire. You will be in an extremely isolated location which contains lots of flammable material. For your protection, our fire patrols will monitor these areas to ensure compliance with the fire restrictions; nighttime patrols and over-flights have been authorized. This summer is expected to be one of the driest summers on record and we need your help to safeguard against a wild land fire!
Attention: Kendrick Cabin will be closed September 1-15, 2014 for the installation of a solar system.
