Overview
Kettle Falls Campground is on the northern section of Lake Roosevelt and convenient to the town of Kettle Falls. The facility has a multi-lane boat launch, making it popular among boaters, fishermen and water sports enthusiasts. The Kettle Falls area is rich in the history of American Indians as well as the fur trade; campers can learn more at a park visitor center less than 10 miles away.Lake Roosevelt is a 130-mile lake on the Columbia River created by the Grand Coulee Dam. Named after President Franklin D. Roosevelt, it is part of the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area and managed by the National Park Service.
Facilities
The facility is conveniently located near the town of Kettle Falls and within 10 minutes of grocery stores and other amenities. The visitor center is also in town.
This campground has 74 sites and is by reservation only.
Natural Features
The campground is forested and overlooks Lake Roosevelt. Much of the water originates from glaciers and snow in the cold, high Canadian Rockies, although lake temperatures are pleasant to swim in during summer. The area is abundant with wildlife, including moose, elk, deer and bald eagles. Dozens of species of fish inhabit the lake, such as walleye, bass, rainbow trout, salmon and sturgeon; fishing for sturgeon is now allowed during a limited season.Recreation
The boat launch is directly within the facility, so many recreation activities can take place from the campground, including boating, fishing and water skiing. However, the lake is not very accessible to swimmers since there is a rocky descent from the campground to the water.Nearby Attractions
The historic St. Paul's Mission, which is run by the National Park Service, is located about two miles from campground. Also in the area are Fort Colville and the Hudson Bay Company Post on the Upper Columbia.St. Paul's Mission.

There are no electricity, water or sewer site hookups. Dump/Fill Station onetime fee of $10 for campers with a reservation or $5 with Senior/Access pass. Flush toilets are available and water faucets turned on May 1st to September 30, weather permitting.
- Pets are allowed and must be restrained at all times.
No livestock.
- No off-road vehicles permitted.
- No off-road parking; park in designated areas only.
- No metal detectors or collecting of artifacts allowed.
Bring confirmation with you. Transfer the confirmation information onto the green slips located at the Fee Board as you enter the campground. Hang filled out tag at your site.
No generator usuage during our Quiet Hours of 10 PM - 6 AM.
- Fires are permitted in the fire rings year-round, EXCEPT when the fire danger rating reaches a critical level as indicated by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for the area that includes Lake Roosevelt NRA.
- Don't Move Firewood: Help protect our forests! Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. Moving firewood is illegal in some states. Visit dontmovefirewood.org to learn more.
Weekly Boat Launch Permits must be purchased on line at https://www.pay.gov/public/form/start/656441199 . Please purchase prior to your trip. Annual Boat Launch Permits are available in person by vendor only.

Notifications and Alerts
Total Fire Ban: Due to extreme fire conditions, all fires at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area are prohibited effective 12:01 a.m., June 20, until further notice. No open flames are permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, all fires in National Park Service (NPS) provided fire rings and barbeque boxes, shoreline fires, charcoal fires, tiki torches, incense burners, candles, pellet smokers, and propane campfires. Only self-contained propane or gas cookstoves and lanterns are allowed during the full fire ban.
Fire restrictions help reduce the chance of human-caused wildfires during prolonged high summer temperatures. Use caution when smoking and dispose of cigarette butts in approved receptacles.
Discharging, or using any kind of fireworks, tracer ammunition or other incendiary devices in any location on federal lands is always prohibited.

Directions
The campground is 87 miles north of Spokane, Washington. Take U.S. Highway 395 north to the town of Kettle Falls, turn south on Boise Road at Barney's Bridge and travel three miles to the campground.
Cancellation Policy
<p>All changes and cancellations must be made through recreation.gov</p> <p>Late Cancellations or Cancellations within the Cut-off Window</p> <p>Individual Campsites: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee.</p>
