Description
Kimball Bend Campground is located on Whitney Lake off the main stem of the Brazos River in Central Texas. Over two million people visit Whitney Lake each year to enjoy the camping, fishing, boating, water skiing, hunting, sight-seeing and scenic beauty the lake provides. The campground offers 36 campsites with hookups for water and electricity. The Chisholm Trail runs through the campground and several historical buildings still remain in tact. Additional amenities include a restroom with showers, a boat ramp and a dump station.

Alerts and Important Information
Due to parking limitations only 3 vehicles will be allowed entrance to the park for each rented site. All additional vehicles associated with that campsite will not be allowed access inside the park and will be parked outside the main gate at the owner's expense. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, please carpool or make other arrangements to allow for this new policy."
- Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
- This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends. (Friday/Saturday)(Saturday/Sunday)
- This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends.
- The campsite is open year round and sites are $20/night for 50 amp service.
- Gate Attendants and Rangers are on duty.
- The gates open at 6am and close at 10pm. There is a night exit that allows a person to exit after hours for emergencies. If you arrive after 10pm you will have to park outside the gate and wait until the gate house opens at 8am to check-in.
- Check-In time is 3pm, Check-Out is 2pm.
- A maximum of 10 people per site (including visitors).
- A maximum of 3 vehicles per site.
- No parking on grass.
- All pets must remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet in length.
- All vehicles must be registered and operated by a licensed driver. No ATV's allowed in the park.
- Quiet hours are from 10 pm until 6 am.

From Kopperl, TX - Travel North on Hwy 56 for approximately 2.5 miles. Turn Right on to Hwy 174 approximately 2.3 miles. Turn Left in to Kimball Bend Park (just before the Hwy 174 Bridge).
From Cleburne, TX - Travel South on Hwy 174 for approximately 22 miles. Turn Right into Kimball Bend Park after you cross the Hwy 174 Bridge.
