MCKASKEY CREEK CG (GA), ALLATOONA LAKE, GADescriptionMcKaskey Creek Campground is located on Allatoona Lake in Georgia. Located only 30 miles from Atlanta, the lake offers a respite from the rush of city living. More than 13 million visitors each year enjoy picnicking, camping, hunting, fishing, swimming and other water sports, and observing the abundant wildlife along the shores of this beautiful lake. The McKaskey Creek Campground offers 51 sites, 32 with electric and water hookups. Additional amenities include a dump station, laundry facilities, hot showers, boat ramp, playground, and a swimming beach.Alerts and Important InformationDue to repaving under the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act at McKaskey, McKinney and Victoria Campgrounds, reservations are not being taken during the period 15 March 2010 thru 30 April 2010; however, some walk-in campsites may be available at these campgrounds during this period. Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. This campground has first come, first serve sites. Campgrounds DO NOT make advance reservations for these sites.You may go to the campground or contact the Allatoona Lake Project Management Office at 678- 721-6700 to check availability of first come, first served sites.
