NORTH BEND PARK (VA), JOHN H KERR DAM &, VADescriptionNorth Bend Park is located on John H. Kerr Reservoir. The 50,000-acre lake extends 39 miles up the Roanoke River along 800 miles of wooded, cove-studded shoreline with 70,000 acres of project lands and it's yours to enjoy whether you like to swim, fish, camp, go boating, or just relax and enjoy the scenic beauty. The campground offers 249 primitive and electric/water hookup sites on or near lake. A bicycle/jogging trail is in campground and a nature trail is nearby. Other amenities include an amphitheater, fishing pier with universal access, playgrounds, swim beaches, and 3 boat launch areas. Gas and groceries are just 5 minutes away. This district will be completing several campground upgrade projects with funds received from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Please expect construction projects to be on-going during your visit and pardon our progress to making your future visits more enjoyable as we make these facility upgrades. within the next couple months.Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. The campground is open April 1 through October 31 and campsites are $15-$20/night.
EXTRA VEHICLE FEE: Campsites with more than 2 vehicles excluding the camping unit, will be charged a $4.00 extra vehicle fee, per vehicle, per night.
