PLYMOUTH (WA), JOHN DAY LOCK & DA, WADescriptionThe town of Plymouth, WA borders Plymouth Park to the north. McNary Dam and Visitor Center are located 2 miles east of the campground on the Oregon side of the Columbia River. The park is nestled in the high desert along the Columbia River surrounded by tall sage and Russian Olive. The nearby town of Plymouth has a post office, Umatilla, OR has a grocery store and a laundry. Hermiston, OR has shopping stores and other amenities. Popular activities in this area include fishing, swimming, boating, water skiing, and hunting. There is an abundance of wildlife, including mule deer, waterfowl, and raptors. A fee of $5.00 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.
Getting There:Plymouth (WA)PO BOX 564 The Dalles WA 97058-0564 GPS Info. (Latitude, Longitude): 45.93167, -119.34833 Located south of Kennewick, WA, 23 miles to exit 131 (SR 14). Travel west on SR 14 for 1.5 miles to Plymouth Road. Turn south and go 1.5 miles to Christie Road. Make a right and go 300 feet, turn left into the campground.
