PLYMOUTH (WA), JOHN DAY LOCK & DA, WA

Description

The town of Plymouth, WA borders Plymouth Park to the north. McNary Dam and Visitor Center are located 2 miles east of the campground on the Oregon side of the Columbia River. The park is nestled in the high desert along the Columbia River surrounded by tall sage and Russian Olive.

The nearby town of Plymouth has a post office, Umatilla, OR has a grocery store and a laundry. Hermiston, OR has shopping stores and other amenities. Popular activities in this area include fishing, swimming, boating, water skiing, and hunting. There is an abundance of wildlife, including mule deer, waterfowl, and raptors.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends.

A fee of $5.00 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground.
Additional non-reservable tent camping available on weekends and holidays for $12.00 per tent per night.

Located south of Kennewick, WA, 23 miles to exit 131 (SR 14). Travel west on SR 14 for 1.5 miles to Plymouth Road. Turn south and go 1.5 miles to Christie Road. Make a right and go 300 feet, turn left into the campground. The day-use park entrance is 0.75 mile west of the campground entrance.
