Overview

Rocky Creek Park is situated on the banks of Benbrook Lake near Fort Worth, Texas. It is an excellent destination for picnicking, boating, swimming and fishing.

Natural Features:

Benbrook Lake is in the Grand Prairie region of north-central Texas. The park sits beneath tree cover along Rocky Creek and an open peninsula.

Recreation:

Picnicking, fishing, hunting, boating, hiking and birding are just a few of the activities available in the parks at Benbrook Lake. Windsurfing and fossil hunting are also popular pastimes.

Facilities:

This primitive campground offers tent and RV sites, though no hookups are available. Amenities include pit toilets and drinking water. A boat ramp and hiking and horseback riding trails are on-site.

Nearby Attractions:

Fort Worth is home to the Kimball Art Museum and the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District.

From I-20, exit Granbury Road and go south approximately 3 miles to Sycamore School Road/Old Granbury Road. Turn right. Follow about 2 miles to Rocky Creek Park Road, which continues straight as Old Granbury Road curves to the left. Continue on Rocky Creek Park Road approximately 1 mile to the gatehouse.
