Description

Rocky Point Campground is located off U.S. 59, just north of Wright Patman Dam. The park is located on a 30,000 surface acre man made lake, within the piney woods of northeast Texas. With close proximity to Texarkana, the area offers a variety of activities which include shopping, movies, restaurants, and local historical sites. Shreveport, LA has river boat gambling, horse races, and numerous festivals. During the winter many birds migrate to the lake some of these include Bald Eagles, Pelicans, various ducks and others. There are some poisonous snakes in the area. Open year round, Rocky Point offers a complete range of services to the camper and is one of the most extensively developed areas on the lake. Park facilities are located in a mixed hardwood-pine forest of the southwestern United States.

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. Check-In Time 3:00 PM Check-Out Time 2:00 PM This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 day minimum holiday weekend stay.

Campsite consists of hard surface parking pad, water and electric hookups, picnic table, barbecue grill, utility table, and trash can. A trailer dump station is provided. There are also shelters, a boat ramp, amphitheater, volleyball court and beach area in the park
