Boat transportation arrangements to island required BEFORE making campsite reservations. No more then 2 campsites can be reserved at one time; no more then 14 days total per year. Campsites must be reserved prior to arrival on the island. There are NO walk-ups at this facility. 1 mile arduous rugged hike to campground. Must carry all gear to campground. Primitive camping, pit toilets, no shelters. Bring low profile tents, own water, toilet paper, and extra food for weather delays. Bring garbage bags to pack out trash. Food storage lockers available. Bring own drinking water, at least one gallon per person per day. Be prepared for fog and wind. Smoking allowed only on the beach. To protect resources, no cardboard or corrugated boxes can be brought to the island. No stores or services on island. No pets or vehicles allowed. No fires, campstoves only. No Charcoal or BBQ allowed. Firearms or fireworks not allowed on the island. Quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. No fishing in state marine reserves. California fishing license and ocean enhancement sticker required. Due to strong winds, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, diving are limited and require expert abilities. Hantavirus in mice, take precautions to reduce exposure to rodents. Upon arrival, meet ranger (if available) at beach landing or campground. Pleas have confirmation letter or receipt with you.
