From Kremmling: Take Highway 40 east approximately 10 miles to an intersection marked with a "Forest Access Sign". Turn left here driving over the railroad tracks on County Road 21. Following Country Road 21 drive approximately 6 miles following the signs to the National Forest. At the intersection of the County Road and Forest Roads 12 and 112 take Forest Road 12. Drive approximately 3 miles and turn left on Forest Road 121. Follow this road approximately 2 miles to the Wheatley Creek Trailhead.
