SPRUCES (UT), UINTA AND WASATCH-CACHE NF - FS, UT

Description

This is Spruces Campground in Wasatch National Forest, east of Salt Lake City. Mountains, wilderness, pine and aspen trees, elevation 7500 feet. There are numerous hiking and mountain biking trails in the immediate area and interpretive walks and fishing in the Big Cottonwood Creek. Public Phone: 435-649-7534.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends and a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends for family sites. This campground has first-come, first-served sites. No animals, domestic or livestock, allowed in the canyon. No all-terrain vehicles allowed in the canyon. Extra vehicle fees per day per vehicle will be collected at the campground. Fees begin with the 2nd vehicle at single sites, 3rd vehicle at double sites, and 4th vehicle at triple sites. Fees also apply to parking in the overflow area. Check the site type and the capacity for people and vehicles. Site capacities are strictly enforced. From Highway 215 take 6200 south exit, go eastbound for 1 mile to Wasatch Blvd. Take Wasatch Blvd. 1 mile south to junction with Big Cottonwood Canyon Highway (Highway 190). Make a left at the junction and follow the Big Cottonwood Canyon Highway for 9.7 miles to the Spruces Campground.
