ALL (2) OverviewLocated at Hartwell Lake, one of the southeast's largest and most popular public recreation areas, Twin Lakes Day Use Area offers an ideal setting for a party, barbecue or simply a day of water activities with the family.Twin Lakes boasts sweeping views of the nearly 56,000 acres of water that comprise Hartwell Lake. Natural Features:Hartwell Lake is a man-made lake bordering Georgia and South Carolina on the Savannah, Tugaloo and Seneca Rivers. The dam and lake area boasts nine campgrounds and 15 day-use facilities that are operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Recreation:Boating and water sports top the list of popular activities. A boat ramp is provided for easy lake access. Facilities:Twin Lakes offers multiple picnic areas, complete with shelters, flush toilets and playgrounds. Parking is available on-site.
