The Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit offers some of the finest recreational opportunities in the nation. The LTBMU Supervisor's Office provides a year-round source of information. To find a specific trail or campground use the navigation menu on the right side of the page under Areas & Activities. Use the plus sign to the left of Find an area for an expandable menu of the four main areas of the Lake Tahoe Basin. Drill down until you find the campground, beach, or trail for which you are looking. Each recreation area includes an interactive Google map.

2014 Off-Highway Vehicle Grant
The USDA Forest Service-Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit is submitting an application to the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division (OHMVR) of the California State Parks for grants to provide financial assistance to the Forest Service for Ground Operations Management and Maintenance and for support of its OHV and Over-Snow-Vehicle (OSV) law enforcement patrol and OHV education.
A preliminary application will be submitted on March 3, 2014. The final filing date for this grant will be on May 5, 2014. Organizations or individuals with comments regarding the grant request are asked to review these applications and send your comments to the OHMVR Division via webmail: www.ohv.parks.ca.gov.
