Big Bay Recreation Area is located on the shores of beautiful Table Rock Lake, a premier vacation spot in the Ozarks. The facility offers picnicking, boating, fishing and more.

Natural Features:

Vegetation is maintained to sustain the natural environment. The lake is visible from most areas.


Big Bay Recreation Area is situated on the Big Creek arm of 53,000-acre Table Rock Lake. Visitors enjoy a variety of water activities, including boating, swimming and fishing. The clear waters are home to several species fish, including bass, sunfish, catfish, crappie and other game species.


The recreation area offers several picnic tables with grills. Toilets are provided. There is no drinking water available at this facility.

The recreation area is 30 miles from Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and 40 miles from Branson and Silver Dollar City, Missouri.

From Shell Knob, take Highway 39 to Highway YY. Drive east on Highway YY for about 3 miles to junction of YY-1 and Big Bay Road. Turn left (north) on Big Bay Road and continue down the hill, curve to the right, through the gate and follow the road into the recreation area.
