Enid Lake

Riverview Recreation Area is located below the dam at Enid Lake. Amenities include three comfort stations, volleyball court, softball field, soccer field/football field, horseshoe pits, two large picnic shelter, one small picnic shelter, 22 individual picnic sites, 1/2 mile fitness trail, fitness exercise area, and a playground. This area is popular among visitors wanting to enjoy a day at the lake picnicking, playing sports, walking and cycling.

The day uses offers 22 individual picnic sites that includes a grill, a serve table and picnic table. Three assessable comfort stations with flush toilets are located in this area. Other amenities includes three comfort stations, volleyball court, softball field, soccer field/football field, horseshoe pits, two large picnic shelter, one small picnic shelter, 1/2 mile fitness trail, fitness exercise area, a playground and bank fishing in the old river run. Nearby day use areas offers boat ramps,life jacket loaner boards, beaches, amphitheaters and a view of the lake.

Natural Features

Pavilions, picnic sites, and other amenities are nestled among towering oak trees. The surrounding woods provide habitat for squirrels, raccoons, chipmunks, deer, butterflies, geese and variety of birds. This day use area is off Interstate 55 and easily assessable to visitors. It a perfect location for a day at the lake for picnicking, exercising, playing sports, walking or to spend the day. 

Nearby Attractions

The nearby towns of Water Valley and Batesville, Mississippi offers shopping, hotels, restaurants and emergency care facilities if needed. Memphis, Tennessee, approximately 60 miles, offers tours of Graceland, home of Elvis Presley. His birthplace is located in nearby Tupelo, Mississippi.

Driving Directions

Take exit 233 off of Interstate 55 toward Enid Lake. Go east on County Road 36 for .8 miles. Turn right on Enid Dam Road for .2 miles. Turn right onto County Road 35 for .4 miles. Turn right on County Road 517 and you have arrived at the destination.
