Need to Know
- Check In Procedure:
- 1. Access the cabin via the 2nd story snow door. DO NOT lock this door during your stay. Place the lock on one of the hooks or on the handle INSIDE the cabin during your stay. If you lock the snow door and front door, then forget the key….YOU’LL BE LOCKED OUT!
- 2. Open front door and dutch doors from inside the cabin. Remove all/some wood shutters as desired. Each shutter is numbered to the corresponding window. Please note, these are sized to fit each window. You may be required to dig out the windows from outside, this is best done before removing the shutters. Remove 2x4 security measures on kitchen door. Snow shovel is located under the loft steps Front door key is located on the hook to the right of the front door (replace it before you depart)
- 3. Turn on Propane. Valve located in the wood room, left side of the door (between the wood room and kitchen)
- 4. Turn on gas valve for stove/oven. Valve is located under the kitchen counter, just to the right of the stove. Light all stove pilot lights: Lift front of stove top, there are two pilot lights in the middle of each burner set (one on the left and the other on the right) Open broiler cover and locate pilot light on the back right of the unit. You’re now ready to operate the stove. You shouldn’t need matches/lighter. Failure to light all pilot lights may result in a gas odor emitted from the stove
- 5. Propane lights: each gas lamp is operated individually. You’ll need a lighter to turn them on. Extra mantels - located in the storage cabinet in the living room.
- Check Out Procedure:
- 1. See instructions located on the Wood Room Door
