Entrance Description

Method of travel is hiking. 46 mile trail that continues to the west side trail head. Rolling terrain through several lakes. Minimal use. For more information, please call the Gunflint Ranger Station at 218-387-1750.

Hiking only, canoeing not allowed. Camping limited to designated U.S.F.S. sites or at least 150 feet from hiking trails, lakes, streams, portages or other campsites.

REMINDER: State law requires valid watercraft license/registration in order to operate in Minnesota. This requirement includes non-motorized watercraft over nine feet in length, such as canoes and kayaks.
