Notice:

The POW WOW Hiking Trail is a wilderness trail for experienced users only, advanced navigation and orienteering skills are needed. This hike is not for the ill prepared. Expect to encounter fire affected trees that have fallen since last clearing. Route finding may be necessary. Don't be led astray by old logging trails intersecting or near the POW WOW Trail. There are no designated campsites associated with this trail. Camping 150 feet from the trail and water is allowed. Remember to Leave No Trace of your visit.

Entrance Description

Method of travel is hiking. 30 mile loop trail. For more information, please call the Tofte Ranger Station in Tofte at 218-663-7280.

Hiking only, canoeing not allowed. Camping limited to designated U.S.F.S. sites or at least 150 feet from hiking trails, lakes, streams, portages or other campsites.
