Schaefer Lake Trailhead

This trailhead provides access to the Schaefer Lake Trail #1519 which enters Glacier Peak Wilderness near the lake.

From Leavenworth, WA take US-2 north for 15 miles. Then take a right on WA-207 (Lake Wenatchee Highway) and follow for 4.4 miles. Go right on Chiwawa Loop Road travel .4 miles then stay right at the intersection. Then take the second left onto Chiwawa River Road (Forest Road #6200) and follow for 13.5 miles to the trailhead.
