This trail is accessible by boat or float plane. The trailhead is located at the head of Thorne Arm near the Fish Creek Cabin, 26 miles from Ketchikan, 20 miles from Mountain Point. A mooring buoy is located near the trailhead. Boaters are cautioned that this buoy offers little protection from south winds.
