Overview

Alaska's parks, forest and refuges are rich and varied. The Anchorage Interagency Visitor Center helps visitors and residents to have meaningful, safe, enjoyable experiences on public lands; and encourages them to sustain the natural and cultural resources of Alaska. This center and three others statewide help provide trip-planning, interpretation, and education for kids and all ages.

Directions:

The visitor center is located at 605 W. 4th Avenue, in downtown Anchorage. It is housed within the historic "Old Federal Building" on the corner of 4th Avenue and F Street. The entrance is on the east side of the building, closest to F Street. Because the site resides in a federal building, there is a screening station at the entrance which requires a picture id for adults.
