Goose Island Campground, UTBureau of Land Management
OverviewRiverside camping for tents, RV's and trailers. Two reservable group sites are available through the local BLM office.
Goose Island Campground is located 1.4 miles east of the junction of Utah Highway 128 and U.S. Highway 191. The campsites offer spectacular views of the Colorado River and the massive redrock cliffs of Arches National Park. Both RV and tent camping are available. This campground is popular due to its proximity to town, its shade during the summer, and the beautiful scenery. This is one of our most popular campgrounds and campsites are available on a first-come, first served basis. Two group sites are reservable by calling 435-259-2102. Goose Island has 18 designated campsites. There is no water availabl;, however the campground is only 5 miles from Moab where numerous sources are available. Recycling and trash dumpsters are available. Directions:From the center of Moab (at Center and Main) head north to Utah Highway 128, which is just south of the Colorado River. Turn right (east) on Hwy 128 and drive 1.4 miles. You will see The Goose Island Campground on the left.![]() |
