Hunters Canyon/Spring Camping Area, UT

Overview

Primitive walk-in camping in a spectacular canyon setting

Located 7.5 miles from the junction of U.S. Highway 191 and Kane Creek Road, these 2 camping areas offer walk-in camping, as well as sites accessible by vehicle. Hiking, biking, and motorized routes are nearby. Campsites are available on a first-come, first served basis. There is no water available.

Fee: $10.00 per vehicle

Directions:

From the center of Moab (at Center and Main) head south to Kane Creek Road. Turn right (west) on Kane Creek Road and drive 7.5 miles. After 4 miles, the road turns to a graded dirt surface. You will see Spring Canyon Campground on the right just below the road switchbacks. Hunter Canyon is one mile beyond.
