Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery, KYFish and Wildlife Service
OverviewThe Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery (NFH) was established in 1975. Our mission is to provide rainbow and brown trout for mitigation stocking in Kentucky; provide a refuge for threatened or endangered aquatic species and develop techniques required to culture these species; and establish and maintain a “Friends Group” to gain community support for the fish hatchery.
For more than 150,000 visitors yearly, we provide hatchery tours,
off-site presentations, a display room, and a handicapped accessible public fishing area. In June we open the Annual Kids Fishing Derby held during National Fishing Week.
