SYLVAN PARK (KS)

Description

In the Post rock Country of northcentral Kansas, Sylvan Park, located below the Wilson Dam, offers great appeal to the sportsman, fisherman, recreationists, or those who just want to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the lake and Saline River Valley. Just 8 miles north of exit 206 on I-70, Sylvan Park's campsites, with pull-throughs as large as 137 feet offer the best shade and wind protection available. Anglers have bright opportunities at channel catfish, white bass, striped bass, small and large mouth bass, and walleye on the lake and Saline River. Wildlife observers can stroll the 3/4 mile Bur Oak Nature Trail at dawn or dusk, and catch glimpses of the environment's wildlife. To accomodate the fall/winter hunters, a deer hanging station is available, and the showers and restrooms remain open and heated. Whatever your recreational interests, Sylvan Park's 27 campsites offer excellent recreational diversity and opportunity. As the leaves change color, Fall camping offers the most beautiful climate and scenery available.
