Scofield Reservoir, UT

Overview

Scofield Dam, Scofield Project, is on the Price River, a tributary of the Green River, about 22 miles northwest of Price, Utah. Recreation management at Scofield Reservoir is performed by the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation under agreement with the Bureau of Reclamation. This recreation area is situated north of Scofield, Utah at an elevation of 7,620 feet. The Reservoir has a surface area of about 2,800 acres when full. Managed recreation season is May through November with high use on holidays, weekends. During winter months, ice fishing is available. Common fish species include walleye, smallmouth bass, and brown trout. Fees charged. Reservations accepted for some campsites. Scofield Reservoir and Scofield U.S. Geological Service maps cover the area. Stream fishing is available below the dam on the Price River. Phone - Summer: (435) 448-9449 Winter: (435) 687-2491

Directions:

All weather access. From Salt Lake City, Utah, take I-15 south to Spanish Fork exit (highway 6). Take Highway 6 for about 50 miles, turn right onto Highway 96. Reservoir is about 10 miles further.
