Rough and Ready Botanical Wayside, ORBureau of Land Management
OverviewThis is a unique botanical area along Rough and Ready Creek. It harbors a multitude of rare or special-status plants endemic to the serpentine soils of the Siskiyou Mountains. The area has been a popular wildflower-watching spot for decades, and plant species are actively evolving here. The impetus to protect the area was provided by the Illinois Valley Garden Club in 1937.
