Cottonwood Recreation Site, IDBureau of Land Management
OverviewCottonwood is a fairly large site on the Salmon River two miles south of Ellis on Highway 93. The campground was rennovated in the mid 1990's. It is located down by the river amidst the cottonwoods and away from the highway noise, making it a wonderful place to camp and fish. Amenities include:
15 campsites (including two Accessible sites) with picnic tables and fire rings and grills; Seasonal Campground Hosts
2 sets of vault toilets; Boat ramp and parking; Day use area with horse show pits and reservable covered group shelter ($25/day); Potable water
Trailer dump station; Garbage collection
