Baldy Lake Trailhead
From Baker City, Oregon, take State Highway 7 south for about 26 miles to State Highway 220 (also known as Sumpter Valley Highway or the Elkhorn Drive Scenic Byway); Turn right on State 220 towards Sumpter and go about 23.5 miles to Forest Road 7345; Turn right at Forest Road 7345 and go about 5 miles to a large roadside opening. The site does not have any facilities.
Note: The 7345 road is steep and rough. High clearance or 4x4 vehicles are recommneded.
