The "East Beaver" end of the East Beaver / Sleepy Cat Road is 22.3 miles east of Meeker. From Meeker, take Colorado Highway 13 east for 1 mile, then turn east on Rio Blanco County Road 8 and follow this for 19 miles. Turn north on Rio Blanco County Road 115 and go through Oak Ridge State Wildlife Area for 2.3 miles to the Forest boundary where the East Beaver / Sleepy Cat Road begins. The "Sleepy Cat" end of the East Beaver / Sleepy Cat Road is located 16 miles northeast of Meeker. From Meeker, take Colorado Highway 13 east for 2.2 miles, then turn east on Rio Blanco County Road 15 and continue 11 miles to the top of Yellow Jacket Pass. Turn east again on County Road 48 and follow this for 2.6 miles to the Forest boundary.
