From Big Pine proceed east on Highway 168 for 12 miles until you reach the turn off for White Mtn Road/Bristlecone Pine Forest. Turn left at that signed junction and proceed 10 miles until the end of the paved road at Schulman Grove. Patriarch Grove is another 12 miles out the dirt road: not recommended for light passenger cars. After 12 miles turn right at the signed junction for Pariarch Grove then proceed one more mile until the parking lot
